It doesn't kill my browser, but it startles the crap out of me because I usually open a whole handful of blogs at once using tabs in Firefox, and I can never figure out at first which one is yapping at me. (Plus since I use dialup at home, I get a few notes... then silence while it downloads some more... then a few more notes. Which is amusing, I guess.)
It also makes me not go to those blogs at work, where the "I'm in a library" factor sort of makes sudden blasts of music look like a Bad Idea. :)

ReplyDeleteBy the by: are you guys using Windows Explorer, or Firefox? B/C I've got Firefox, and it (pretty much) never crashes. It's free, too.
ReplyDeleteI use Safari, and it's usually pretty good—I think it uses the same technology as Firefox.
