It Rained; It Pours

Churchyard took some poems from my new manuscript: "Letter: 1987 to 2005 (Chain Letter)" (which is from the epistolary section) and several bits of the last section, an extended meditation called "Proof." I'm so thrilled! All day long I did the happy dance of somebody-likes-my-poems. It is, incidentally, my favorite dance.

  3. Y'know, in 1997 or 8, it seemed like every journal I picked up had a poem by some "Bob Hicok" in it. Who is this guy? I thought.

And no one will even ever have to debate about your hotness.

  4. We of the blogring dub thee, 'Sir Charles Hicok.'

Of course, with that author photo, some of us may call you 'Wild Chuck' from time to time.

    Congrats!

  5. Charlie,

It's odd, this thing--we keep appearing in the same journals, no?

    MiPo,
    Quarterly West,
    Churchyard.

    Are there others?

Whatever the case, we must be super poets!

  7. Congrats, Charles! Have a beer and drink to yourself.

Send me some of your poems? Ask Woody for my e-mail. Or maybe point me in the right direction [i.e. journals featuring you].
